The Listening Module in PTE measures your ability to understand spoken English in academic and everyday contexts. You will listen to audio or video clips and complete a variety of tasks that test comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. The total time for this section is 30–43 minutes.

• Summarize Spoken Text – Listen to a recording and write a short summary in 50–70 words.

• Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer – Select more than one correct option based on the recording.

• Listening Fill in the Blanks – Type missing words in a transcript while listening to the audio.

• Highlight Correct Summary – Choose the summary that best matches the recording.

• Multiple Choice, Single Answer – Select one correct option based on the recording.

• Select Missing Word – Identify the missing word or phrase that completes the audio.

• Highlight Incorrect Words – Spot and click on words in the transcript that differ from the recording.

• Write From Dictation – Listen to a short sentence and type it exactly as you hear it.
